  1. Hollywood magic.... Steam not tire smoke. Steam hides the lift ram to get front end up.

    2. Nice link. Back in the day I ran some 60's Dodges, usually not more than 400 to 450 hp. And yeah, if the tires are spinning enough to smoke, you blew the launch and there ain't no front end lift. On a good launch, no wheel spin, I could pick up the front left tire just an inch or so off the pavement. The whole front of the car would tork and twist, though. There's no twist on the front of that Charger. Shot looked fake when I first saw it, now I know the rest of the story.

  3. A lift would explain why the body (at the rear tires) first lifts and then drops. If there were no lift, the back end would squat immediately on throttle drop.

  4. Nice! Back in the early 80's I had a 72 F-100 that had a 78 Nova front suspension with disk brakes and steering which dropped the front end about 2 inches. It had a balanced and blueprinted 351 Windsor that was bored .030" over with Edelbrock aluminum heads and 4 barrel intake that put out 381 HP with it's 357 CI displacement. I called it my 357 magnum. It had a Doug Nash 5 speed with the reverse H pattern and a 4:35 locker rear end. It had a top speed of 118 mph and it would hit it about two car lengths before the end of a quarter mile in 5th gear at 6700 rpm. It had 14" wide Micky Thompson street and strip tires on the back that was lowered about an inch. I would drop the pressure to 20 pounds to get a good launch. The driver side front tire would clear a 12 oz coke bottle when launching in 2nd gear at 3000 rpm. It was a 9 year old farm truck that I threw $6k at back in 1981 with a lot of junkyard parts and the skills of an uncle that was an expert welder.

  5. I think it's a lift, too. The rear suspension squats as the weight is re-distributed, but miraculously doesn't scrape as one would expect if this were genuine, and no wheelie bars. But the front, you'll notice, is rock steady, because it's riding on the lift ram dolly, even while the rear is bouncing. Don't know if it's steam or not, but it does seem to dissipate quickly.

  6. If the tires are spinning to create smoke, they are not gripping enough to lift the front wheels clear.
There was a set of wheelie bars under the center of the car, go to 5m30 in this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TJgtRx3wC6g&t=353s
For a real Dodge wheelie search for "Hemi under glass"

  9. I got to vent here.
Too much AI. AI everything. Nothings sacred, its like thats exactly the point, to eradicate our very identity as living cognitive beings. Its kind of indecent. And once you start seeing it you can not unsee its telltales. Repulsive even. Its everywhere and its just started. Gonna have to change clown world's name to deep fake world. Who knows what kind of mind control BS is incorporated into their fetish for everything AI. Cause you just know everything is about control control control, and thats what is irksome about all this AI, why its showing up everywhere, its gonna be turned for nefarious means like everything they try to do to all of us. Look at all the deep fake politicos, not a one is an honest joe or even elected for that matter, they even got that fake trump, i mean he is a pretty good body double but look at all the people who are conned by it, same with Putin, no way that now is the real original McCoy, compare old pics to present. And why too? It is so obvious if you take time to notice.
Its all really getting pretty old and just friggin plain stupid plain to see, u got to be dumb and blind to not notice it all, do they know that? Like exactly who is really running all this? Some kind if super secret squirrel club of secret agent men running around like peeping effin pervs spying on everything, and all the gangstalkers they got in every neighborhood or city block, its like they are maniacs obsessed with surveilling every bit we do in our lives. Makes you wonder how so many traitors there are to the fundamental principles which started this republic that is basically the simple right just to be left alone instead of crawling up everyones butthole with a microscope.
End of rant, thank you all.
