And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
I like their flair and have owned 3 in the last 8 years. I liked them all and they were trouble free (new stuff should be though). I'd love a SM but out of my league.
Way the wheels stick out, looks like its got electric motors on each spindle, hub drive. Probably planetary gears sets, with clutch packs that double as brakes too. Thats the way I'd do it anyways. Some large earth moving equipment use that system, works very well. Don't know if it scales down effectively though. Lot of moving parts, but its super compact along with some parts doing double duty. Lot of unsprung weight way out on a leverage arm. But automatic transmissions use planetary gear/clutch packs, and they are pretty compact and minimal weight. Always trade-offs.
That's a Citroen the worst French car ever!

DeleteHow do you get in and out of that thing?
ReplyDeleteVia the doors! If you look closely you can see the shut lines.
DeleteLooks like it belongs in the next iteration of the TRON movies.
ReplyDeleteI was thinking of Minority Report.

or just go direct drive motors, stepper type, digital control, high voltage low amp DC. Maybe reversible fields for braking.
DeleteThen call the fire department and EPA cleanup.!
