And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Make sure you put enough charcoal/wood in there at the start, otherwise you gotta take the whole thing apart mid-smoke to add more. That's why I got rid of mine. Won't hold enough to do a full 16 hour smoke on a brisket.
Mines sitting outside with a couple of 7 bone chuck roasts going. No smoke just Royal Oak charcoal. Gonna have French dip sandwich kinda things.

ReplyDeleteI've been cooking on one for 30 years. A bit problematic when the wind is blowing and there's 25 degrees of frost but otherwise it's a keeper.
