  1. Straight six - one Weber barrel per pot, so must be twin plug.

  2. Keep your mechanic in the back seat to correct the tuning every few miles, though.

They built highly tuned cars like this in Italy then as there used to be a repair/maintence shop on almost every corner, and weekly visits to them were quite common.

  4. I will look on the inner tubes to find a video of that engine running.

  5. Actually the twin cam Maser engine was a good design but the metallurgy of the day and the electrics were the problem. Some small improvements in bronze, stellite, hyperkinetic aluminum, thin wall bearings, crank and cam grinding, low sulfur spring steel, coil winding and this engine will run very well. It is not uncommon for rebuilds made with today's materials and production capabilities to pick up some BHP.

BTW, the exhaust phasing of a 120 degree I6 is the same as a flute. that's why I6 and V12 sound so sweet. But the long crank length and the single plane of block stiffness on the I6 gives problems to torsional crank wind up at high revs. A V12 has two planes of stiffness and is not as susceptible.
