  3. If one is disturbed by a train that can't leave the tracks and getcha, well ...... then the tax money prolly should not have been spent. Better to protect sensitive souls. (snark off)

  7. You should check some of the apartment complexes built by the soviets in the 70's and 80's. They were all taxpayer funded and not one cent was spent in making them interesting, appealing or funny.
    Acat-train may not be everyone's cup of tea but there is value in making things interesting and not just functional. A box on wheels would have done the job just right... but it sure would not have been as interesting.

    1. In the Northern Virginia area, I regularly pass by new apartment or condo developments that surpass the worst of sov or east German architecture. And they are cheap in everything but price!
