And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Somewhere on the Carolina coast (Garden City, SC?). I've met guys who spend entire weekends SCUBA diving in murky rivers feeling around for them. They're cool, just not that cool!
South side of Martha's Vineyard we found them as kids, rarely as large, like half that size and smaller, still have a few nice ones, after a big storm washed up extra high tide you could find quite a lot of smaller sizes, like hundreds maybe an inch or larger.
I was stationed at the USCG Base at Charleston SC about 25 years ago. Up in the Cooper River we would dive in maybe 8 to 10 feet and find loads of shark teeth Sperm Whale teeth and occasionally MEG teeth! Some were as large as our hands! It was murky water and the current could get pretty strong. My kids got them in their homes now! I gave most away.....now their big money!

ReplyDeleteDeep sea fishing for Megalodon would be a hoot.
ReplyDeleteThe school sand box in coastal Caroline held many shark teeth of different types and sizes.
