And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Perfect light weight hot rod material. Slap a grand vick front end in it, independent rear axle, nice Richmond 6 speed, keep it simple and old school for total reliability with a well built aluminum block/heads 289 or a stock long block 302 Mustang engine, HEI ignition, Webber cross flow intake, hand built stainless tuned headers and exhaust, Winston cup brazed aluminum race radiator, first rate Wilwood 6 piston vented discs all around, some frame stiffening with a 6 point roll cage so it handles like its on rails, couple decent front seats and a sound system. A dependable set of wheels you can have till you die.
Brings back memories of my parents '62 Comet. I came home on leave from the Navy back in '68 and had used it for a trip (to a drinking establishment of course). It was winter and icy and got safely to our street, but then managed to lose it going through the gears about 2 blocks from home and hit a tree, totaling it. Cop was nice enough to give me a ride home and didn't cite me. Parents were not happy, although they moved up to a '68 Riviera (which I never got to drive!). Went back to the base a day or two later. I had managed to wipe the memory from my mind until today, after seeing the pic above.
