And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Jeep in the Deep. That article alone was worth the 35 cents.
Aah! Smokey Used his book, he daid you do everything possible to put the longest rod possible in your engine. Well the guy was a genius, I'll attest, did exactly what he said in a Ducati engine, followed his advice about intake ports too. The long rods really work well. Never built a engine without longest rods after that. Crazy good performance increase across the entire power band. And it actually increases engine reliability due to decrease in rod angularity. Smokey was one of a kind sharp character. And he truly understood how to legally cheat in racing thru creative of the rules. Legend has it you had to retain all three piston rings, so he removed the second rings and glued them to the bottom of the oil pan, got him a critical extra hp over his competitors. Real sly that one.
Artistic license being taken with an optimistic view on the room in that sub. I got the impression the only standing room was when you descended into the crew compartment to sit down in it.
Is that a Play Station joystick?

DeleteReminds me of an old Tom Swift adventure
ReplyDeleteThey were always better when they focused on actual tech, instead of wishcasting the Future Never To Be.
