  1. Too pretty? No way. So small? Yes.

    1. Big tail, but not enough meat. Put it back this time and catch another 2-3” longer and make a meal out of just one. -Brewer96

  2. Gut it, salt and pepper with half a lemon, wrap in foil and then grill over coals or open fire…
I worked at a large cherry orchard with a huge stock tank of trout in eastern Oregon.
Using a cane pole, black line, red & white float and worms I gathered that morning, I could catch 4-5, prepare, cook and eat them during our lunch break…

  3. Small enough that you'll need an entire trout village to make a meal.

    1. Yes. Big tail like that? Wild trout.

  5. So this catch and release nonsense does not even work at the border. When I lived in Newfoundland, it was always kill and cook, brother.

  6. Anon spotted it: native trout. Tail and coloration. Rare these days. Also, not too small. The creek/pan size are the very best eating.
