dan-that's a standard model- the multicolor,etc one's are DELUXE models. the manufacturers have been doing this for 100+ years-plain=std and fancy=deluxe

Harlan and Grandpa ordered those from Sears and had them drop shipped partially assembled. They bored them out for business, mainly running shine to the godless Yankees up north. I used to call the Colonel Uncle Harlan. He got credit for the fried chicken, but not the birth of NASCAR.

Sears made their own forays into the auto market - once with the Motor Buggy in the early 1900s, which were very quickly eclipsed by the Model T, and then later, in the 50s, with a Kaiser joint venture. A few were made, but this effort fizzled as well.
