And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

My "Go To" for steak seasoning. Or potatoes for that matter.
My steak seasoning is 2 parts black pepper, 2 parts garlic salt, and 1 part salt then rub that in. Take half a stick of butter and melt it. Once it gets bubbly drop 5 or 6 sprigs of fresh thyme and let it simmer for 10 minutes. Coat the steak with the butter. Grill the steaks with the thyme sprigs on it.
Tsquared. that's the ticket, that's what we use but instead of garlic salt we use crushed garlic, thyme is good on anything. what time is supper ready?
This "It" has been a lot more than a little bitch for at least a few months now. "How much do you make on this con?", etc. I, for one, am tired of Its bitching. It should be banned.
Exactly. Somebody came to my house last week for grilled steak. They had stopped at the store on the way to get a bottle of A-1 steak sauce. I told them they were trailer trash.
Wife objects to it because when meat is finished, especially after smoking on Trager, bits of carbonized Montreal Steak Seasoning manage to fall on floor of kitchen after carving the joint of meat. Taste is fine but not better than alternatives. Dan Kurt
I've tried this McCormick seasoning for steak and found it to be just okay compared to a recipe in the "Steak Lover's Cookbook" (William Rice). In it is a recipe for Gibson's steak house's "Gibson's Roasting Salt", created by their chef, Mike Clark. I also use it on other meats as well as roasted vegetables.
I buy the larger containers of that too...
ReplyDeleteThey make it for chicken too and it's just as good.

Got the biggies of both. Costco for the win.
DeleteI mix it up with a little vinegar and olive oil and make a salad dressing. Try it!

Montreal Steak Seasoning is my favorite. Thankful for Costco and the large bottle!
ReplyDeleteThe gold standard in our household. Try brushing some olive oil on pork cutlets and sprinkle some on. Grill it medium well.
ReplyDeleteA little goes a long way. Just sayin’
ReplyDeleteThat's what people say about me.
DeleteWe make all our own spice blends, this guy has way too much salt for my taste… YMMV…
ReplyDeleteI make my own also, otherwise you're paying precious metal prices for salt.
Delete$6.80 $0.59 per Ounce($0.59 / Ounce) you are a con
ReplyDeleteDon't buy it then... sounds like a good deal to me!
DeleteThere's always gotta be a little bitch dudn't there?
DeleteIt is a good deal Rob and I purchased it several times.

DeleteJust ignore people that won't sign/own their comment with a handle. They're ignorant and aren't worth an exchange.

I like my steak to taste like steak. Kosher salt dry brine & on the fire with a little apple or pecan smoke.

ReplyDeletewe've also discovered Rufus Teagues', Stubb's, and Kinder's rubs too
All are exceptional...
