And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Tight, but not as tight as that Spitfire I posted the other day
A Spitfire weighs 8,000lbs, modern jet fighters weigh 40,000lbs and up. I think this is an F-18F which has a max take-off weight of 66,000lbs. Look at the bottom edge of the canopy, it has a lot of control panels for the WSO that will take up space when it's closed. Al_in_Ottawa
The first time I did a walk through of a B-17, I couldn't have imagined serving on one. At 6'0 and 200lbs (at service age.....), I wouldn't be comfortable anywhere.....
not as tight an ME-109 either.
ReplyDeleteThat's not tight, not even close! Try an A-4 single seater.
