  1. Carolina Chickadee. Amazing, they're skittish on our feeder that's 15' from our front porch. Has to have birdseed in his hand. If you don't sit motionless, they skee-daddle.

    As are Painted Buntings, our Late April-Early November visitors from FL.

    1. we see quite a few Painted Buntings at the bird blind at Guadalupe River SP. Also scores of Cardinals, Cedar Waxwings, Cowbirds Hummers & other assorted that come for the feeders & the rock fountain.
      And, once only, an Indigo.

  3. My mom would put seeds on the porch rail for the chickadees. It got so if I walked out on the porch they would start divebombing me.
