And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Carolina Chickadee. Amazing, they're skittish on our feeder that's 15' from our front porch. Has to have birdseed in his hand. If you don't sit motionless, they skee-daddle.
As are Painted Buntings, our Late April-Early November visitors from FL.
we see quite a few Painted Buntings at the bird blind at Guadalupe River SP. Also scores of Cardinals, Cedar Waxwings, Cowbirds Hummers & other assorted that come for the feeders & the rock fountain. And, once only, an Indigo. CC

ReplyDeleteMy mom would put seeds on the porch rail for the chickadees. It got so if I walked out on the porch they would start divebombing me.
