And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Good Bourbon needs a good glass to drink it out of
Highly recommend getting the LARGE ice cube silicon mold. Got mine cheap from Scamazon. Makes a world of difference with sipping spirits (like fine bourbon).
The smaller 6 oz size is much closer to what everyone grew up with and fit the hand well. They are nicely done, durable, and great classic lowball glasses. The big ones -in my opinion, anyway- invite over serving and, failing that, over dilution. A 2 oz shot in the 6 oz glass looks good; 2 oz in the 10 oz glass seems niggardly and is hardly visible. Most of us, I believe, calibrate our cocktails in 'glasses per hour'. The current fad for enormous glasses is invidious.

ReplyDeleteAgreed about glassware; the impressions and sense of style are important to varying degrees. Those are cool.
