I was surprised to learn she didn't want a memorial service and wished to have her ashes scattered near Lone Pine. It wasn't until later I realized how many Westerns she was in.
She was an actress that all four of her 'Big Valley' co-stars admired as children. They were all thrilled to have the opportunity to work with her through the run of that series.
I've always been amazed how great she looked as Victoria Barkley, considering that she was around 60 when it was filmed.
She was quite a lady. That's why she was referred to as 'Miss Barbara Stanwyck' in the credits of that show.
I have a hard time believing that to be Stanwyck - a lovely photo of her. Late in life she took a terrifying beating from a burglar and did not recover well mentally. Asbest as I have been able to determine
