And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
I like the one with the mutt wearing it's hat backwards, and the toofy ho with the shotgun sitting in the old truck cooking 8 kinds of meats in a weber smoker in an old but highly modified powerwagon while listening to an expensive vintage audio system and a dewalt 90 volt reciprocating hammer drill-chisel in each hand.
#1 is a Union Pacific Challenger locomotive that could haul 4500 ton trains at 60mph on level or almost level track. When the grades got steep the 6900 hp Big Boys took over.
At first I thought that was an MG, but a frame-by-frame view of the GIF does show that the car is badged as a Ferrari, with the Illinois vanity license plate: NRVOUS. There were actually 3 Ferrari replica movie cars made for the film. The one used in the parking lot attendant's "jump" sequence sold at auction in 2020 for $369K.
The vehicle was listed as a 1985 Modena GT Spyder California — a replica car, which is a Ford fit with a fiberglass body that resembles a Ferrari, according to Cnet. It is one of three that were made specifically for the movie, and only one of two that still exists today.
Other cars in the movie carried vanity plates at well, as mentioned in this article about the meaning of the license plates used in the movie: https://www.slashfilm.com/953233/every-license-plate-in-ferris-buellers-day-off-has-meaning/
The Schafer Trail (Switchbacks) takes you off the cliffs, and down to the White Rim Trail. This shot is further down the 100 mile long trail. An Outstanding 2-3 day Trek in Canyon Lands NP, Moab, Utah
I came up behind a big bull moose once in a Fiat X1/9. Too early in the year for a rack but he was big. He started into a trot and his feet came out from under him. When he got up he was PISSED and started coming toward me all red-eyed. That stupid car never went so fast in reverse! He finally gave up.

ReplyDeleteRotten driver harassing the moose.
Nobody is harassing the ugly meat wagon. They are just that dumb. Dangerous as all hell, but dumb.
