And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
I hate to see that. I'm very fair skinned and a redhead. I don't tan, I burn and fade to something darker. I had a girlfriend in High School that was fair skinned, she would be out in the sun in the smallest bikini her father let her get away with. I met her at the store many decades later, her skin looked like shoe leather that had gotten wet and dried in the sun. Sad.
She'll be as red as her beach bag in about 15 minutes.

ReplyDeleteMy wife and daughter are very fair, but my son and I can hold a tan. I’m Scots-Irish and my wife is Dutch and Irish, so go figure.
