    1. They work fine, just spend the extra money for their name and you can set your Yeti cooler by it and impress your neighbors.

  2. I've previously used a few of their bags. However, the bang for the buck is Cabela's pellets. About $6 cheaper, and their Bourbon BBQ Brown Sugar pellets are the only pellets I use these days. Order enough, and shipping is free, and I certainly go through enough to justify it.
    (smoked deviled eggs...yeah...!)

  3. @Rob I think most pellet grills are about the same and I recommend. I do a turkey breast at Thanksgiving using Apple pellets. In the northern regions that get lots of snow grills usually go on sale for big discounts in late fall.

  4. That's one of those plug in smoker things ain't it?

  5. Rob, take a hard pass on Traeger brand. They are pretty low quality. Take a look at RecTeq brand. I got mine 8 years ago and it's still looking great and making mind-blowing food with zero issues ever.

  6. There is lots of dust in the Trager pellets. Be sure to use a fan to blow the dust away. Rectec is the answer.

  7. Avoid cheap pellets at all cost, they will jam the worm drive. Stick with the name brands like Traeger and Pit Boss for pellets and keep them dry…

  8. I'll just stick with an old fashion offset fired smoker. More time to play with fire and drink beer.

  9. Don't know how good I have it here I guess. I can get Cherry, Mesquite, Apple, Hickory for 9 bucks a 20 lb bag. And if you never had a pellet smoker your missing out. Put the meat on, set the desired temp and go mow the yard and drink beer. Better yet, put a pork butt on to smoke and go to bed after a few. Get up in the morning and turn it up to finish. I still have my Weber kettle though.

  10. If you use Traeger pellets pour them into a bucket in front of a fan. That will get rid of your dust in the pellets. Traeger pellets also burn very dirty. Order Recteq pellets right now as they are on sell. Also get a smoke tube from Recteq. That will give you more smoke. Cherry is good for hams and pork in general

    1. I have a pellet smoker. Works great, especially if I wear my dress while doing it.
