And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Wow! Look at how they integrated wingtip vortex reduction with rudder control. This is very, very ahead of it's time. That unsung graphic designer had an excellent talent for aerodynamics (or he just thought it looked cool).
Still have a Heathkit shortwave radio I built in '67 that might have a GE 12ax7 in it. My dad worked at the Evendale GE Aircraft Engine Plant. BTW he never worked on any flying wing engines, but his claim to fame was working on parts for the Valkyrie XB70.
Valves. They're still around - some stereo and guitar amplifiers still use tubes. Also high power radio transmitters and magnetrons in microwave ovens.
Worked very nicely dropping an atomic bomb on the aliens. Too bad that they had shields on their ships that blocked the nukes, though.....

When is was about 14 I had a KnightKit "Span Master" for SWL. It was a lot of fun. I think my parent threw it away once when we moved.
