Years ago a neighbor had one of these. I wonder where it is now?

  2. If he had a forest that might very well be gone.

  3. I drove my 72 until the late 90's. Hit a deer and off to the junkyard it went. I'm still pissed.

    1. Exactly!
One forest, truck, canoe, paddle, backpack, jacket, coffee mug, pinecone.
      The options are endless.

  5. I live out on the Eastern Colorado prairie. There are a number of "elderly" pickups in and around other folks' properties.

  6. Most likely it became a can of soup many years ago.
Roughly 3 Million of this body stile were made. My guess is that ~90% were crashed, left in a field, handed to kids or scrapped when they were just old, undesirable trucks.

  8. I had a '71 Custom with a 400 small block with cherry bomb pipes out the back. Sounded like gunfire when I took my foot off the gas. Drove it on the freeways in Phoenix and later in San Diego for a number of years. After the transmission went out the second time, I sold it for 600 bucks in 1990. Wish I hadn't. But I had a CJ-5 and an Iroq-Z 28 and didn't need three vehicles.

  9. Are his legs crossed or are his boots on the wrong feet? Hard to tell.
