And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Exactly. The Air Tractor doesn't have much of a load but it can scoop from small lakes in deep valleys where the Canadair CL415 can't. In related news the Martin Mars is now retired. https://www.cheknews.ca/emotional-hawaii-martin-mars-makes-final-landing-at-bc-aviation-museum-1220309/ Al_in_Ottawa
I was surprised to learn what the water capacity of a Fire Boss is. It's more than most bambi buckets are and two thirds of what a twin engine Grumman S2T is. Petty impressive. They can be dangerous to fly, though. I believe two pilots have been killed already this year.
Timely posting. I observed an AT 502 operating out of CYOW on Wednesday. It was equipped for some kind of airborne geophysics (not Mag or VLF EM) and flew two tight squares just North of Shawville, Quebec before returning. I have friends with property in that area and they said that there has been some interest in rare earth deposits in the area. Steve_in_Ottawa
Not an easy job to get. Knew some retired fighter guys that couldn't get in. Scooping water is a bit tricky, great video on what's involved: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9pYw1j-mcQg
