And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
The first small airline I worked for had a shop approved to overhaul 1830s. I was sent to assist in assembling an engine once, but first my tools had to go through the parts washer and I had to wear a clean shop coat over my grubby work clothes. My teardown bench is a disaster area but my assembly bench is spotless. I don't like warranty work on outboard engines I build.

DeleteAnother buddy of mine would tear down and totally rebuild his Harley motor every winter...
ReplyDeleteShovel heads and earlier Harleys probably needed rebuilding every winter if you did any serious riding.
ReplyDeleteMy 68 Harley FLH runs great and I only did two top end jobs to in the last 12 years, just to make sure Shes good. The lower end is still pristine!
