And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Needs a six-inch high space from the top of the bench to the first tool. That way, nothing sliding on the bench will knock any tools off. Also, a full-length fluorescent lamp above everything to eliminate shadows from any lighting behind you; the backing behind the tools should be of a lighter colour to aid the illumination and reduce eye strain. My ten cents from thirty-five plus years on the tools.
I guess my philosophy is a little different. Most of this stuff I would have in a rolling chest of drawers: wrenches, pliers, ratchets, sockets, allens, screwdrivers, etc. I find it's easier to have a drawer for each. The stuff that goes on the wall is bigger, or used for intermediate steps: C-clamps, adjustable wrenches, hand saws, spring clamps, T's, squares, levels, etc. Never too many tools !
Is that a bicycle shop? Some of the tools look familiar.
ReplyDeleteProbably a motorbike shop, but no sure.
DeleteAppears to be Park tools. So, bicycle.

Damn right. Be nice if the tools looked used, too, and not bought by the yard in sets.
DeleteShould be a white board, and each tool should be outlined on the board, so you know if something is missing or in the wrong location.
ReplyDeleteTil he pounds something on that workbench and half that shit falls down.
