And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Two of the most beautiful flying machines that will ever be made
I'm not sure the Mustang is beautiful despite its sharp good looks - maybe its a size thing? The Connie, however, has graceful as well purposeful lines and I think is one of the most beautiful planes ever built. The Republic Rainbow, which is also a large plane, is also right up there.
Add the B58 Hustler and bobs yer uncle.

ReplyDeleteAgree on the connie, we have plenty of gorgeous air-frames but nothing will ever outclass the Connie for raw beauty.
