And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
There’s nothing quite like being jarred awake by thunder and lightning at 2 am during a night of heavy summer thunderstorms and roll off your inflatable mattress into the 2” of ice cold water flowing thru your teepee…
Apparently you've never lived across the alley from a railroad. Summer sleepouts in the patio, long freight train comes rumbling through at 2 AM, good times...
Did that one night in the Okeefanokee swamp with our scout troop. On a small island with alligators all around and a few hundred raccoons who couldn't get off the island without getting eaten by the alligators. No fun trying to keep everyone dry and the raccoons out of everyone's tent and packs! Except for canoe accidents, alligators, raccoons, snakes, scorpions and various poisonous plants the kids had a great time. Can't imagine any scout troops around here doing a trip like this nowadays. (my son helps with my grandsons troop now, so I know. Bubbarust Bubbarust
What do you do with that 10 acre chunk of Arizona you bought...

ReplyDeleteWorks better if you use rubbing alcohol, just don't let pets drink it.
DeletePut it on the ground like a man.
