And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
The Wilsonized Barretta. A little too pricey for a range gun. The Wilsonized Glock 19 is also too pricey for a range gun. A PSA Dagger can be built like that for less than half the price.
"JFK was shot from the front,..." No, testing shows the headshot reaction movement with .223/.556 looks different than most other calibers. IIRC, they were going by the film of the shooting, not actual head damage as shown by autopsy. (The investigator found that there was so much evidence gathered by the Commission that they only looked at ~25% of it.) The guard's actions needed to be concealed from the public, as they wanted it to be seen as a clean assassination, not an accidental killing by a bodyguard. JFK's neck damage (by the "pristine" Carcano bullet found on the car floor) would have left him as a quadriplegic, with a life expectancy of just a few months, according to a surgeon that was shown the xrays by said investigator.
I had a Berretta in .32 ACP as a kid I carried when trapping in case of wild dogs. I liked that it fit in a pocket. But soon learned that open top slides let too much crap in. Causing jams. That’s why I couldn’t understand why our military chose the 92 to replace the 1911. Personally, will never carry an open top, not even the Kimber with the holes cut into the slide.
Hmm, blog'r ate the first attemp overnite. It was a political decision. The US wanted nuclear weps based in Italy, and the price was to buy lots of guns from them.
That hand grip would make me hypnotized.
ReplyDeleteSorry, the grips don't work, ugly.
ReplyDeleteIf you can see the grip you will miss the shot
ReplyDeleteHad one, great shooter, I liked other pistols better

ReplyDeleteThe mandatory warning labels are more than hideous. One of the contributing factors to why i dont have any newly manufactured firearms truthfully.
ReplyDeleteSome of the later model Ruger revolvers do their best to hide that bull crap under the barrel. Of my many Rugers, I think all but one is pre-warning.
DeleteSo, I reckon what I'm saying is yeah, I agree with you. The lawyers sure can take the fun out of everything, can't they?
Model discontinued 2/27/2024

What, the salad?
ReplyDeleteJames Files describes the Remington Fireball 222. that he used to take out JFK. Fascinating interview. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=44x5I-kP48o
ReplyDeleteInvestigator concluded that it was a SS agent with an M-16/AR15 in the following car.
DeleteJFK was shot from the front, not from the rear by someone in a car following him.
DeleteI thought the Fireball was classed as a .221
