  1. They make pruning blades that will turn your reciprocating saw into a great limb cutter. Outstanding upgrade.

    1. Agreed. I just cut down and chunked a 20ft. silver maple with a 12" trunk just with my cordless recip.

  2. Determine what type you use and may need in the future, then buy that type alone. As 4:48 alluded to, the 9" and longer ones with aggressive teeth make good pruners. If you do a lot of pruning, stock up on that type.

    Recip blades are expensive so it's best to aim your dollars at what you'll use rather what seems like a good deal at the time but will just take up space in the workshop and never ger used.
