  1. Don't see many of those early Ranchero's around.
Class mate of mine had a Dodge ElCamino like car, it was based off a Valiant, might been a 72 model, only one I ever seen. Great ride, slant 6, 3 speed column shift. Ton of leg room. Went like stink too, cause it was a rather light weight vehicle. Those slant 6 engines when you had a good one went pretty good. Had a Duster, thing was bullet proof, that was during the first fake clown world oil embargo when gas jumped to 55 cents a gallon, my Duster got excellent milage when I was keeping the ol' foot out of the gas pedal. Guy i got it from gave it one of those Rusty undercoating jobs, kept it from being a rust bucket. A drunk jumped the divider did a head on so it was totaled. Still miss it after all the rides over the years, funny how everyone has a favorite set of wheels they lost somehow.

    1. Cushman. Now, there's a name I haven't heard in at least 50 years.

    2. Was Cushman a Sears Roebuck model?

    3. Sears sold them, but they were a standalone company.

  4. In the early '60's, despite superior sales of Cushman scooters, distinctive styling and performance Eagle motor scooters placed them in very high demand. But 2-stroke 'skeeter killing Yamaha's were gaining on both. By '65-'66, California based Mustang was out of business.
