And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
My Granddad kept insisting that his semiauto shotgun would shoot faster than my Dad's model 12. He decided to prove it. He didn't like it, but he had to admit defeat.
It’s a Winchester Model 97. I have one that was made in 1927 that came from Michigan State Police. Think Prohibition, boot ledgers and the Purple Gang and imagine the stories this gun is holding.
Really. I have several, from 70 to 95 yrs old, all well used for hunting (though not much for clay targets). None are even close to worn out or unreliable. Had a broken firing pin once, otherwise no functional problems.
Winchester Model 97. Hold the trigger down and it will fire as fast as you can pump the action. These were very effective in WW1 and WW2.
