  1. So, for about $17 a sheet you can make your crib look like a double wide.

    1. Ain't never seen a double wide with real wood paneling, it's partical board with a picture of wood glued on.

Have you always been so gullible?

  2. When I see this, I immediately go to Wes Clark’s website “Avacado Memories”. Wes and I (and prolly a bunch of folks on this site) grew up in different towns together.

  3. That sounds like some premium paneling! Never knew that existed. Our whole home was pretty much paneled. Except for the faux brick in the kitchen that is. We were stylin'!

  4. My parents bought their first house when I was about 6 and the walls were all covered in ancient, faded wallpaper. My dad rented a wallpaper steamer and scraped every inch of the master bedroom, then had to skim coat the plaster because of all the scratches, just to get one room painted. After that he gave up and just put up wainscotting, chair rail and paneling everywhere else.

I can still smell that steamer.

  10. My kitchen still had the original avocado kitchen counters from when the house was built in 1974 until I remodeled it a couple of years ago.
