And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Octagon barrel, and a fresh round in the chamber. Ready to throw some lead downrange.
What does that mean OG? The writing is on the end of the bullet, around the primer. But it blurs out when I zoom in. I'm not aware of writing on the sides of a cartridge.
A bullet is a projectile, in this case most likely cast from a lead alloy. What you are looking at in the picture is the rear of the cartridge case (or just "case").
The bullet is the baseball; you are looking at the writing on the back of the pitcher's uniform.
