I'm thinking that's a Case Sodbuster in the pocket (along with two pens, of course).

    1. It did give me an idea, and I do love my sodbusters. The smaller ones even pocket well. Case did a good thing with these.

  5. FWIW the knife is in the watch pocket.

    1. By the looks of the wear crease - it's been there a while.

  6. I think that's a Caran D'Ache pen or pencil on the right, from the clip and hexagonal body. Not a cheap writing instrument for sure.

    1. Yeap, the blue one is a mechanical pencil. I have a hand full of them in several lead diameters. Used a large drafting table for years until I learned to use a CAD program. Still used them in different hardnesses for sketching out project. I wish I had kept that table as it was therapeutic. It made me think about components placements in a scale for large projects. CAD programs are full scale no matter how big. I designed and built full size cars and components since the mid 70s. Not so much now.

    2. I did manual drafting, pencil-ink on vellum-mylar from 1966 to 1996, then AutoCad from 1996 til now.

Still have all my old equipment including a 6' Mayline oak drawing table.

    3. The right one is a Parker T-Ball Jotter. The left one is likely a Pentel mechanical pencil, not a lead holder.

    4. Concur with Sykes. I have the same two writing instruments on my desk. My Parker is 38 years old based on the date code, parkerpens.net/codekey.html

    5. Probably a Pentel P207, in 0,7mm (blue is a classic color for this model)

  7. Yes that’s an original Jr. look at the size of the hinge pin. Tightest folder Ive ever owned. Got mine at L L Beans in 1972.

  8. My Father was a patent draftsman. Pencil and ink. CAD put him and countless other artisans in his trade out to pasture. It was time for him to retire.

  9. I get the Space Pen refills for my Parker pens. Recommended, especially if you travel by air.
