And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? B T-7 in ditch. Two hits on turret. Warranty voided.
Soviet BT 7 Calvary Recon Tank. Actually, a very successful design but was used a an infantry support vehicle and its high speed was useless and thin armor was a problem. The 45 mm gun was quite powerful for pre-war tanks and could knock out a Panzer Mk1 and Mk2 early in the war.
As a former scout in the Seventh Cavalry, I enjoy pointing out to folks that "Calvary" was where Jesus Christ was crucified, and "Cavalry" is a component in the United States Army.
As a W.A.G. - this is a German tank from WW-2...

DeleteThey used them through most of the war. The first tank armies involved with the encirclement of stalingrad were majority outfitted with these.
ReplyDeleteWhy is it that the First Cavalry got all the shit details?
