Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro said Comperatore "died a hero" when he "dove on his family" to protect them from the gunfire during the rally.
The Trump team was quick to set up a GoFundMe campaign for Comperatore's family and the other victims, raising a whopping $3.7 million in a day.
The campaign attracted nearly 50,000 Americans, rich and poor, across party lines, who donated anywhere from $5 to $50,000.

Trump followers mailed pipe bombs to democrats, the El Paso shooter who killed 20something people at a Walmart posted a manifesto citing Trumps ideas, the guy who attacked Paul Pelosi shared Trumps ideas, there are countless stories of attacks on immigrants from people who share Trump's ideas. Should we talk about Charlottesville and Jan 6 or is that enough?
The notion that the rhetoric coming from the right since, at least, 2008 has nothing to do with the current climate is nonsensical. DJT has been selling hate since he cam down the escalator and accused every Mexican man of being a rapist.
We are all on this boat together. People like Trump traffic in hate and division. in almost 10 years since DJT entered politics he has never reached out to people that don't think like he does.
