And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

A lot of that ground between Lassen and Almanor burned in the Dixie Fire a few years ago. Yet another conflagration brought to you by PG&E and an overpaid troubleshooter who was too lazy to hike two-thirds of a mile to check out a smoke.
CW, Elmo, and others; thought you might want to know, UP's Big Boy will be rolling into Portola, Oroville, Roseville beginning July 9th. 133' long, world's largest steam engine.

Was up there in the summer. Got orbited by an F16, below our level. Bike trip from LA on a BMW R60/6. Beemers too complicated now to own.
