  5. The upper row middle feller resembles Frank Hamer a little, and looks about the right age for this period. But I don't think it's him. Hamer had a bigger stature, more height.

    1. Yes, Frank Hamer was a good size man. He was the man/legend they used creating The Lone Ranger.

  6. Check out the The Texas Rangers Museum in Waco sometime and you'll see some of those weapons. The Museum sits on the south bank of the Brazos (which still runs muddy like she's run all along) right there at I-35.

  10. There's a story about a Texas Ranger that went after a bad guy. The bad guy resisted and was terminated by the Ranger. The Ranger's report on the incident simply read "He needed killin".

    1. I should also add that a visit to the Texas Ranger Museum in Waco is well worth the trip.
