That's MY receiver right there. Pioneer SX1250, bought brand new for $365 in June 1977 in Wildflecken Germany. Sitting on the stand in my office flanked by (2) Pioneer HPM100 speakers, 2 more HPM's on the other side of the office.
In the late 1970s the Japanese really screwed up. They built receivers that just won't break. Most receivers from that era didn't break, people simply grew bored of them and put them in the curb. Now, 40 plus years later, the survivors are pridefully loved by thier original owners, mine is a Technics SA-300. They are truly treasures to those who refused to let them go!
