And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Looks like Grandpa's black 66 Ford 4 door custom. That car didn't actually say "Galaxie" anywhere on it and came from the factory with a 240 cubic inch straight 6 and a "3 on the tree" with an electrically actuated overdrive. I drove it across the Macinac bridge in 1974 on a learners permit. Grandma hated that car because of the way Grandpa would snap your neck shifting gears.
Mid to late 1960s Ford Galaxie 500.

ReplyDeleteI was just going to say that my family had a 2 door 1966 Galaxies 500 in Navy Blue. Hell of a good car.
DeleteNice, but the upper chrome trim on the trunk lid is too high.
