And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Reminds me of sailing my Hobi Cat on Lake Lewisville (Dallas) in the 80s. The wind had died and it was 105'ish. Got in the water to swim and was playing around trying to see how far I could push the boat in the water. I slight breeze came up and it started moving just about the speed I could swim. Chased it for 1/2 mile until it beached. Youth and stupidity....
