    1. Looks like part of an old fire protection system.

  2. Or a plumbing went pipe for a bath or kitchen that was added to the floor below.

  3. Cast iron drain pipe. Very common in older buildings and this one has no plasterboard to hide them behind. Look at the age of the row houses out the window.. this is for sure in a row house too.

  4. Bad place for a guitar - cold and dry next to an outside window and hot and dry next to a heat source.

    2. Yes, Hummingbird, on a short stand, not touching the wall. Depth perception.
      All my guitars are always in my office which is small, so they are always near outside walls and windows and heat sources - never a problem.
