And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
A driver can be had around $10K or less a show truck is more like $30K-40K. With the original drivetrain they are VERY slow. Inline 4 cylinder or inline 6 engines and a 3 speed manual transmissions are good for 45-50 mph. Not a highway vehicle.
Parts are VERY cheap and available from multiple sources. All the glass is flat so you can just get it from any glass shop. Engine, axle and transmission parts are available on Amazon! The hardest (most expensive) things to get are some body panels (a set of fiberglass rear fenders are $1000+)
A neighbor has one that he is working on. It has a small cab.
ReplyDeleteThey do, T. That's part of what I like about them because hvac works swiftly. Good stuff for an old wimp like me in this az weather.
ReplyDeleteWhat year do you think?
ReplyDeleteFavorite truck in my imaginary fleet.
ReplyDeleteI wonder what would one of those set me back, if I were to buy it restored and painted?
