  2. I had a TDY at Eielson AFB in winter (January/February). -35F at night, if you don't have an engine block heater that motor isn't turning over.

    I used a later version on Baffin Island in the '80s which had an engine that could installed while wearing arctic weight mitts. The engines were kept in a heated section of the hangar while the heater stayed outdoors.
