  2. Right. And since the "Flying Wing" got in to drop it's payload while the Sabers that went in were burned out of the sky, I assumed that the Martians had radar not dissimilar to ours and the slightly 'stealthy' body gave it some protection.

  3. no tail meant no leverage meant the elevators were iffy. you tell it to climb, it replies "maybe, when I feel like it" you want your aircraft to behave like a horse, it behaves like a mule.

  4. Ahead of its time idea, finally vindicated by the B-2 when computer-controlled fly-by-wire made the idea fully viable.
