  4. The Wiki article says something mysterious about the Schlepp Lycoming engines being slightly radioactive due to thorium used in manufacture, but explains no further.

  8. If I was towing a target people were going to light up, I think I'd rather be nearer the nose of that a/c than the tail.
    Just saying.

    1. There was one Humor in Uniform story where a naval vessel was demonstrating horrible accuracy shooting at a drone. The pilot in the towing aircraft radioed in and asked if he could surrender.
