Cool, small world. Mine spent a night at the Rio on Route 66 years later I grew up 3 blocks from it and they had never lived in the big city till they moved there
I stayed there when my wife an early appointment at the VAMC last year. It was OK. Quite dated though. Not surprised it's up for sale.
Reminded me of the motels we stayed at when traveling from Oregon to middle Tennessee to visit family when my father was stationed at Adair AFS in the early 60s.
