And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
What it is worth is not the correct question. What would somebody pay for it is. as the bankers have told me before on my asset sheet, weigh it up and figure out the scrap price, buyer of last resort
Since it's a mopar product, it must be worth it's weight in gold. They bring stupid money.
There is a YouTube video of someone restoring an aar cuda that in all actuality should have been scrapped. I think the Vin tag was the only part of the car that would have remained of the original car.
If it was restored by Legacy Classic Trucks, Jackson Hole, Wyoming it would go for around $350,000. And go it would. https://www.legacyclassictrucks.com/
The question is how well and if any mods were made.
I have a friend that spent 5 years building a 49 PowerWagon. He made a custom frame to fit a donner 12-valve Cummins that he had rebuilt. He had a 96 Ram 2500 as a donner vehicle. He screeched the cab and added all of the creature comforts such as AC, heated seats, and inverter to have 115v in the cab and a plug in the bed. He did all of the work except for powder coat and painting. He had over $90k tied up in it.
Just bought a 1948 dodge deluxe sedan at an estate sale for $2500. All parts there but disassembled, glass bubble wrapped, engine runs, new shocks, new headliner in a box. all new upholstery, clean title. Going to be a winter project and hopefully get it up and running to ride around then resell. Will be an interesting journey.

Go look it up and tell me I'm wrong.
But he is dedicated to bringing it back.
Just sold on B-a-T for $185,000 if I remember correctly.
ReplyDeleteFolks pay some stupid money on cars auctioned at B-a-T, but you can say the same of Barrett Jackson auctioned cars.

If you ask, you can’t afford it and wouldn’t be willing to sacrifice to own it. Beautiful vehicle and a time capsule.
ReplyDeleteEither way, you will definitely need the gas cans.

I'm rather sure it doesn't have a GPS system installed. That'll be worth gold right there in a few short years.
ReplyDeleteAbout half of what it cost to restore
ReplyDeleteYou my friend, have spoken the Gods' Honest Truth!!
