  1. If nobody comes up with new ideas anymore why aren't companies firing their creative departments and lowering their prices?

    1. Is it lack of creativity or R&D is not worth the risk because of government regulations and taxes??

  2. Wow, those things are expensive these days. Seems to me I remember when they were just north of fifty bucks.

  3. They still make parts for them also. Had to replace the hinges on mine.

  4. I think I have one of those green metal sided coolers, and a larger red cooler with same metal sides. Great stuff ! Though I doubt that hold ice as long as the new high tech Yeti - type units.

  5. Picked up a red one for a dollar at the sale barn last year. Still in the shed where I put it.

  6. These new Coleman's have the plastic bottom and so are not at ALL like the old metal coolers. My dad used to stand on our cooler to reach high objects in the garage, rather than bother to pull out the ladder. These new ones would fold up like a house of cards.

  7. My original one (late 70's, blue) resides at the bottom of Lake Powell. Went overboard in '83.
