And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Wow, two counter leaps in under 6 seconds....this should be an Olympic event. The usual suspects could compete for the gold medal in "Counter Jumping."
He, the old guy, was just trying to get out of the fire for effect of the shotgun. Not sure with things as they are today I would have done anything else in that situation.
Did the jumper put the rifle on the counter? I think I glance a scope on it when the clerk grabs the rifle. And if counter jumping was an Olympic event, well, white men wouldn't stand a chance, they can't jump.
