  9. Grew up on the edge of the Everglades in the 60s and 70s, my brothers and friends would ride our bicycles and catch small gaters and snakes and bring them home! Mom would freak out Dad said Good Job! Let them go in the lake! Good times! Orlando was kinda small town back then, going to any tourist type place that local animals were displayed was for us Lame!!! We had the real deal in our backyard! Now, from my old place I grew up in ya have to go about 20 miles west to get to the Everglades! More peeps dont make it better!
