And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Yep, do I ever miss some of those that have gone on.
2022 ain't the America when I grew up in the 1950s. And I'm sure the 1950s looked grim to my grandfather who grew up at the turn of the 20th century. That leads me to conclude to a senior with memories of his youth, the present is hardly bearable and the future looks cataclysmic. Maybe that's why Mother Nature didn't bestow immortality on humans.
Today will eventually be a good ol' day so make the most of it.
